The Bath-Highland Tobacco Use Prevention Program is a comprehensive program in Bath and Highland County Public Schools that provides tobacco use prevention activities and resources for students in grades 2 - 12.

Two major programs have been selected to provide activities and resources for students in Grades 3-10. All programs have been correlated with the Virginia Standards of Learning in science and/or health.

Too Good For Drugs™ is a school-based prevention program designed to reduce risk factors and enhance protective factors related to alcohol, tobacco and other drug use among students. Too Good For Drugs™ has separate lessons for each grade level. Each year builds on earlier grade levels which enables students to learn important skills sequentially and retain them year after year.

Too Good for Drugs™ builds five essential life skills:
• goal setting
• decision making
• bonding with pro-social others
• identifying and managing emotions
• communicating effectively

TNT is a school-based prevention project designed to reduce tobacco use in students who use tobacco and encourage others to never start.

Students learn about

• tobacco addiction and disease
• correction of inflated tobacco use prevalence estimates
• the ways the media portrays tobacco "social images”
• anti-tobacco use social advocacy
• how to make a public commitment about tobacco use
  

Coole School Day Planners are provided to all students in grades 2-12. The books are interactive daily planners for students and are used for recording assignments. They contain information and interactive games & puzzles for use by students or teacher led activities and discussion.
